“Sunset” Pointillist inspired landscape by my teen student.
After the class I asked my younger students “What art movement did we learn about today?”. My 6 year old happily replied “Pointless!”. And I thought we studied Pointillism.
“Fall Tree” by 11 year old George.
Pointillism art class was a blast for Teens. Optical illusion of mixed color creates such a shimmering vibrant surface. You can almost see the sunlight.
One of the most liberating things for artists is to try Pointillism. After a short demonstration students enjoyed a different approach to mixing color. Max took full advantage of optical color mixing by painting this luminous watercolor landscape.
